This week Facebook Introduced Instant Articles, a new product for publishers to create fast, interactive articles on Facebook. One purpose of Instant Articles is the download speed on mobile devices. (It seems that not only Google is recognizing the importance of mobile-friendliness.) Instant Articles includes a suite of interactive features so publishers can really bring their stories to life. Here are just a few of the features Facebook is touting:

  • Zoom in and explore high-resolution photos by tilting your phone
  • Watch auto-play videos come alive as you scroll through stories
  • Explore interactive maps
  • Listen to audio captions
  • Like and comment on individual parts of an article in-line
